Sept 16 Chem 2A and 2B both Online:
  1. ​Read Through: Scientific Method PPT Notes, Practice: Chem WB p43 ( see above file) and Sci Method with SpongeBob WS
  2. Read Through: Scientific Notation Notes,  Practice with Sci Notation WS
  3. Read SI Units PPT Notes, p16 Chem WB, #11-14 p19, 18, p22. 
  4. Other Homework: study for Safety Quiz
  5. If time, practice Unit Conversions with Dimensional Analysis p 9-16 Chem WB but we will do some of this in class. 


Sept 17/18
  1. Safety Quiz - Know what each safety symbol means, what precautions to take.  Apply safety rules. You must get at least 75% to pass. 
  2. Practice Scientific Notation questions and SI unit conversions from Workbook 
  3. Practice Conversion with Dimensional Analysis,  Practice Chem WB p11, 14, 15, Extra: Conversion WS
  4. Lab Activiy: Volume of a drop of water (to practice Scientific Method) - to be handed in.
  5. Homework: practice Simple unit conversion: Chem workbook Exercise #2 on p14 in class, check answers in back of workbook. Pick any 5 or until you get it, Multiple Conversions: Read examples of Chem workbook p14-15, try exercises #3-10, p15-16. Check answers in the back. Keep trying until you get it. Request any to do on board.
  6. HW: Preview Uncertainty, Precision, Accuracy PPT or Chem WB p30 - 36, we will cover this in class

Sept 21/22 Goals: Know the difference between precision and accuracy; Be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using sig figs; take accurate measurements using sig figs
